About the Role
We have an exciting career opportunity for an experienced Construction and Fit Innovator to join our Design and Innovation team!
Reporting to the Head Technical Designer, Intimates this role will work with design & technical teams (Australia & ASIA) to ensure a consistent approach is developed and maintained with relation to agreed fit process. You will be responsible in providing technical expertise through specifications and develop fit of garments across all HAA Brands.
What will I be doing?
- Proactively organize & manage workflow that adheres to project milestones & development timelines
- Manage multiple projects from initial design brief stage through prototyping, development, and sign off for production
- Interpreting design brief to create original patterns and proto sample to achieve design requirements
- Utilise advanced technical garment construction skills and experience to provide feedback during prototype development and fit sessions
- Come prepared to fittings with proactive solutions to achieve product expectations
- Conduct wear testing for consumer validation
- Communicate with internal and external stakeholders such as Design, Raw Materials, Product Development and overseas supply partners for current and future development projects
- Create and manage technical specifications to ensure documentation is accurate
What experience do I have?
- Experience in a Patternmaker role within the intimates industry
- Strong understanding of bra construction, including fabric moulding, foam cup development & creation of measurements or swimwear
- Understanding of computer grading using Gerber or similar software would be desirable
- Strong PC skills: MS Office suite, a working knowledge of Illustrator, and PLM system
- Proven communication and influencing skills - you'll be communicating regularly with our technical team in Asia over the phone or via video conference
- Flexible and positive attitude, comfortable with change and able to work in a fast moving environment
