Business Intelligence Developer | Permanent Role | Kew
We're on the lookout for a passionate, driven Business Intelligence Developer to join us in our Support Centre office in Kew. Reporting to the BI & System Architect Manager, this role is responsible for the reporting, presentation, and ongoing support of BI initiatives across Hanes, utilising the Microsoft BI Stack.
Day to day you will responsible for:
- Maintaining the BI register and priorities, as well as collaborating with our users to understand business reporting requirements and areas for improvement
- Developing reports and providing recommendations on data presentation and visualisation
- Developing and maintaining standards and practices, as well as creating and reviewing Wiki Documentation
- Testing reports to ensure intelligence is aligned to defined needs
- Investigating and resolving help desk calls, and providing guidance on troubleshooting
- Creating and maintaining relationships with various business stakeholders, as well as providing training, assistance, and advocacy for BI
- Extraction and transformation of data from external sources to fit business needs, including verification and cleansing
- Performing customer support
- Assist with maintaining Product Backlog
Who are we looking for?
- Tertiary qualification in IT, Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent
- At least one year/s experience in BI Development
- Experience with the Microsoft BI Stack - SSDB, SSAS (Tabular), SSIS, SSRS and PowerBI
- Microsoft certifications are desirable
- Advanced Excel skills
- Familiarity with Agile methodology is desirable, we have multiple projects operating at once
- Confident communication and negotiation skills, this role will require you to present to C-Suite executives within the business
- Problem solving skills
- Jedox, SQL, and DAX knowledge is desirable
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team environment and to work unsupervised
