Senior Graphic Designer | Sheridan | Pyrmont
Iconic Australian Homewares Sheridan seeks a creative, self-starter. We are seeking a conceptual Senior Graphic Designer with proven experience to join our studio to work directly with the Graphic Design Manager.
The role will act as the brand custodian with the Graphic Design Manger, to make sure all output from the department, including their own work is outputted with the end consumer in mind.
This role would suit someone with a love of homewares and eye for design. The role will vary week to week from implementing the brand look and feel globally across retail touchpoints including visual merchandising window designs through to POS ticketing and signage. Packaging, logos, EDMs and any other retail (internal and or third party) marketing support - in line with brand guidelines.
From concept and creative development to finished art and print production management, the role is focused on delivering brand impact through the implementation of beautiful, added value graphic design solutions.
What will I be responsible for?
- Demonstrate creative flair for design and conceptualising, and executional typographic excellence.
- Manage and create POS material, packaging, and other marketing materials from concept through to final artwork
- Independently take briefs and develop design jobs from conceptual presentations to final artwork.
- In-conjunction with agency partners and internal stakeholders, create themed windows from concept design to final art that inspire and drive customer dwell time
- Create new season guidelines/toolkits and templates
- Possess commercial awareness and provide value-added design solutions that maximize brand impact and return on investment
- Show initiative by following up other areas of the business for information as required.
- Manage creative time, negotiate deliverables, review creative briefs for accuracy and clarity, establish and commit to artwork deadlines
- Demonstrate full knowledge of all file types and recommend print processes
- Knowledge of international best practice in VM POS, window creative concepts and printed collateral
- Update key stakeholders on project progress as required.
- Demonstrate sound knowledge of retail landscape and competitors when outputting creative.
