Raw Materials Development Assistant | BONDS | Pyrmont, NSW
Our team has an exciting opportunity available for a Raw Materials Development Assistant to work closely with our Senior Raw Materials Developer!
In this role you will be responsible for providing support to a product category(s), ensuring successful development of garment prints and textiles seasonally, for our amazing Bonds and other Hanes products!
We are looking for someone who is excited about the prospect of a career in Product Development and Textiles, who is motivated, results oriented and committed to providing outstanding results every day!
What is the role?
Support the Raw Material Developer in commercializing all Raw Material developments as outlined by Raw Material Developer.
Work closely with R&D Asia teams ensuring; product brief achieved, timelines are met, Hanesbrands standards and mandatory product safety requirements are adhered too.
Assist in providing technical advice and support to Design Team and Garment Technicians
Co-ordinate and manage Seasonal Print developments by working closely with the Design team in AU and Print & Colour Team/s in Asia to achieve a commercial outcome for all print
Maintenance of the Fabric Library
Maintenance of the Print/Colour area and reference library.
What experience we are looking for?
Related experience in the textile industry and raw material development (this can also include substantial internship experience!)
Understanding of product design and development process, from inception through to production
Excellent verbal and written communication skills – You enjoy collaborating with a diverse group of stakeholders and you are renowned for your fantastic customer service skills!
Exceptional time management and organizational skills
You are a team player with an incredible work ethic – no task is too big or too small!
Able to multi-task in a fast-paced evolving, retail environment
Proficient PC skills and MS Office programs. Working knowledge of database systems (e.g. PLM and Adobe Illustrator) is a plus
