Online Data Analyst | Hanes Australasia | Kew
We are currently recruiting an Online Data Analyst to support our amazing branded websites, including Bonds, Champion, Bras'n'Things, and Sheridan. In this role you will be responsible for unearthing insights in online user behaviour, helping the business make strategic decisions using data-driven methodology, and driving innovations in online analytics and measurement.
You'll be joining our existing Online Team, a group of passionate Front End Developers, User Experience Designers, Data Architects, Digital Marketers and testing gurus who are committed to evolving the omni-channel user experience through iterative, data-driven design and development. This role is unique as it sits within the Consumer & Customer Centricity function within the Online Team, providing the opportunity for involvement in customer survey analysis and consumer insights, in addition to user behaviour, sales trends and channel performance.
This is no ordinary Data Analyst role, this is also a “maker” role, charged with guiding the business' online data and measurement strategy and providing thought leadership for the online team and the broader business.
A day in the life of our Online Data Analyst:
- Analyse omni-channel data to gather actionable insights and create engaging reports and data visualisations
- Efficiently use and administer Google Analytics 360 and Adobe Analytics and train and guide others on how to get the most out of them
- Create and maintain custom metrics, dimensions, reports and dashboards, and documentation on data architecture
- Help facilitate integrations of our data into and out of existing platforms
- Generate hypotheses for A/B testing and experimentation
- Recommend changes to data architecture or data analysis processes
- Statistical analysis and modelling to support business decisions
- Support Consumer & Customer Centricity with analysis of product review data and trends, and analysis to uncover insights from customer surveys
- Think of some really cool applications for our data that we've never even considered!
What experience do I have?
We want to talk to you if you are passionate about data, uncovering and communicating insights, data science and problem solving. You must be a self-starter and able to connect to different stakeholders, build relationships and operate in a fast-paced, changing environment.
- Minimum 3 years' experience in a website/online/data analysis role, either client-side or within a data/online analysis specialist agency
- You must have experience in online (not necessarily e-commerce, although this would be preferable) and understand how online analytics data is structured
- Google Analytics 360 and Adobe Analytics Qualified is necessary
- Experience with Google Tag Manager 360, Google BigQuery, Google Data Studio and Optimizely desirable
- An understanding of statistical principles and calculations is essential and you will ideally have knowledge of A/B testing principles/methodologies and online attribution model principles and applications
- Strong communication and influencing skills – you must be able to bring people on the journey and get buy in from others
- Excellent attention to detail and time management skills
- Ability to contribute in a team environment as well as operate independently on projects
