SAFETY COORDINATOR | BRAS N THINGS & SHERIDAN | PYRMONT LOCATION + WORK 2 DAYS FROM HOME!

We are looking for a passionate Safety Coordinator to support execution of safety compliance activities across our Bras N Things and Sheridan businesses. In this role, you will work closely with the Senior Safety Lead to build a strong safety culture and support operations to effectively identify and manage risk. We are looking for someone who has just started their career in health and safety and is keen to continue to learn and grow.

The successful incumbent will enjoy working with people in a fun and creative retail business and be ready to live our company purpose of ‘creating the fabric of a better life for people and planet'.

What is the role?

• Manage the online hazard and incident reporting database including early contact with retail stores to investigate causation and provide sound risk management advice
• Review incident and hazard data to inform your understanding of risk relevant to site operations
• Manage WH&S administration tasks including weekly communications, scheduling H&S meetings and running compliance reports
• Facilitate and track completion of compliance activities including workplace inspections, emergency drills and safety training
• Support the business to address risk and close out any actions arising from investigations or audits
• Undertake project work as required
• Receive direction, mentoring and support from the Senior Safety Lead as part of your career development plan

What experience do I have?

• Minimum Certificate IV in Work Health and Safety
• Minimum of 2 years' experience working in a similar role
• Willingness to learn and develop new skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Well-developed administrative skills
• Organisational and time management skills
• Current drivers licence
