Transport Manager | Hanesbrands | Truganina Distribution Centre based + work from home!
We have an incredible opportunity available for a Transport/ Freight Manager to lead our team of four Coordinators at our Hanesbrands Distribution centre, reporting into our Operations Planning Manager.
The purpose of this role is to Manage all outbound freight Operations for our Bonds, Bras N Things, Sheridan and Champion business groups across Australia and New Zealand, including the provision of B2C deliveries to our international consumers. As the key spokesperson for our freight management, you will have the opportunity to partner closely with internal senior stakeholders to deliver on logistical best practice, as well as manage the integral relationship between Hanesbrands Australasia and our freight providers.
What is the role?
- Control freight movement from various domestic and offshore fulfilment channels including pick from hub, pick from factory, pick from store and third-party logistic providers
- Manage the relationships and operational engagement with all Hanesbrands freight service providers
- Ensure Hanesbrands complies with the mutual commitments defined in freight related service level agreements
- Oversee the financial management of freight costs ensuring to come in line with business expectations
- Lead regular working in progress meetings with key suppliers and internal stakeholders within Supply, Operations, Retail, Customer Service, and IT
- Lead problem solving initiatives to continuously improve processes across our supply chain workflow focusing on safety, service, sustainability, and cost
- Investigate delivery options for new customers and review delivery routes for changes to network designs
- Lead a team of team of four Freight Coordinators to achieve objectives, support professional development and promote team engagement
What experience/skills do I have?
- Significant experience working within a similar role within logistics (Retail, FMCG industry experience highly desirable)
- Exceptional stakeholder and relationship management skills
- Demonstrated experience overseeing freight management projects and implementing effective continuous improvement initiatives
- Strong Leadership skills and team development capabilities
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
- Excellent IT literacy and competency with Freight Management Systems
- Intermediate to advanced MS Suite and Excel Skills
