COPYWRITER | Kew

You've probably heard of us. We've been lining Aussie drawers and wardrobes for over 100+ years, no biggie. Well, guess what? You, yes YOU, could soon be the voice of all of us.  

We'll cut to the chase - we're after a brilliant copywriter who has a knack for nailing tone of voice for multiple brands on the fly. From causing someone to LOL at an Insta caption to simply getting them to open their emails, we're on the hunt for an experienced creative who can bring fresh ideas to the table with the sheer wizardry of their words. Please note that this role is a maternity leave cover for 12 months.

Key responsibilities:

• Firing questions and initiating discussions on how best to translate briefs from various brands and turn each into sparkly copy
• Crafting out-of-the-box copy for anything and everything from eDMs to Facebook ad copy, in-store signage to swing tags – basically, the whole she-bang!
• Adding your own witty spin to campaigns and projects and collaborating with multiple marketing teams to help bring them to life
• Listening to feedback and making the necessary alts
• Brimming with new ideas to take our communications to the next level
• Hustling alongside a broader creative team filled with marketing, graphic design, and brand manager legends
• Autonomously juggling multiple jobs on short deadlines (and thanking Google Docs in the process!)
• Always thinking of the customer and how to keep them reading/laughing/feeling the feels

What skills/ experience do I have?

• 5 years copywriting experience, preferably in retail or similar fast-paced industry
• Ability to think rapidly with a passion for brand storytelling
• Confidence to communicate ideas effectively, you know what it means to collaborate with different teams yet work totally solo
• A brand voice builder, with a proven track record of creating and capturing voice via everything you type
