Senior Buyer

We have an exciting opportunity at Bras N Things for a Senior Buyer/Designer to join our growing Product Team in Alexandria NSW.   This is an exciting time for applicants to join our brand who are aspiring to be part of something big! As a Senior Buyer/Designer, you will be responsible for designing and developing fashion forward, yet commercially viable ranges that are costed to the agreed targets and deliver newness and excitement to our customers each season.

For this role we are looking for someone who is design led and trend focused as well as strategic and innovative in their thinking. We need someone that thinks globally and has a flair for creative, high fashion trends and design. This role requires clear, streamlined leadership and communication developing a team as well as working with key stakeholders such as marketing or online.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design high fashion lingerie and swimwear collections for our two brands Vamp and Enchanted
• Research trend and colour to set seasonal direction
• Manage and develop a creative team to grow ideas and innovative thinking
• Work closely with out overseas suppliers to source, develop and cost new product launches
• Travel for inspirational buying trips as well as supplier visitis
• Range build seasonal collections including; RRPs, sizing and quantification of buy alongside merch planning

To be successful in the role you will have: 

• Design experience in lingerie or swimwear of at least 5 years plus
• Range building skills to understand product lifecycle and product assortment
• Strong negotiation skills
• Ability to manage and develop a team
• Degree level qualification or equivalent
• Technical aptitude – of garment construction
• Illustrator technical drawing skills
