PAYROLL OFFICER | HANESBRANDS | KEW, VICTORIA
About the role:
We have a great opportunity available for a Payroll Officer to join our team, looking after one of our major retail brands within our Hanesbrands Group! The key purpose of the role is to deliver an effective and timely payroll service for our retail store employees in accordance with legislative requirements and company policy as well as support with key projects.
Key responsibilities include:
- Accurate and timely processing of end to end weekly and/or monthly payroll in accordance with the terms and conditions of the relevant enterprise agreement, award and/or individual employment contract and legislative requirements
- Processing of new starter, position change and termination paperwork
- Ensuring that all payroll components are costed to the relevant general ledger accounts and reconciled
- Assisting our retail teams with payroll queries in a timely, friendly, and accurate manner
- Providing continuous improvement initiatives to improve current payroll processes and systems
What experience do I have?
- Payroll experience in a large business or in a role that requires high volume payroll processing
- Strong understanding of industry awards and compliance related payroll issues
- Strong analytical skills, general ledger knowledge and excel
- Excellent customer service skills and attention to detail
- Proven ability to meet conflicting deadlines
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with an ability to handle sensitive and confidential information and work in a collaborative team environment
- Experience using Preceda or other payroll software's and intermediate MS Excel skills
